It is one of the most important ways of making the works of art that each artist creates unique while reflecting their inner world. Alexander McQueen also invited 12 artists to create their own personal works inspired by the looks in the 2022 Women’s Collection to highlight the numerous perspectives of creativity. reshaped it with his own creativity. The environment of creative freedom available to the artists created a rich dialogue between their work and the views chosen.

The artworks are designed to be displayed alongside related McQueen designs, demonstrating individual approaches and the ways in which artworks and views interact.

Alexander McQueen Creative Director Sarah Burton said in her evaluation of the project, “This season, I wanted to engage in a new creative dialogue with the collection and see how artists interpret our designs. It was very interesting to see the creativity of so many different perspectives and how the diverse and beautiful results were achieved. We wanted artists to have complete freedom to interpret Alexander McQueen looks by engaging in bold and provocative dialogues with their works. We hope the audience who witnessed these creative processes will be as inspired as we are.”
