Meet the LVMH Prize Finalists

The LVMH Prize, considered one of the most prestigious awards in the fashion world, continues to support young designers from all over the world.

After a two-day show in Paris on March 4 and 5, the eight finalists for the LVMH Prize have been announced. Selected from a group of 19 semi-finalists, the finalists span the globe from Japan to Nigeria to the United States.

Ashlyn from South Korea, Knwls from England and S.S. Daley, USA-based Erl and Winnie New York, Irish designer Roisin Pierce, Japan’s Ryunosukeokazaki and Nigeria’s Tokyo James will compete for both the grand prize and the Karl Lagerfeld Innovation Award.

LVMH Delphine Arnault, founder of the Award and vice president of Louis Vuitton, stated that it is difficult to reduce this list of 19 people, where young talents embrace creativity in every way, and said, “I want to applaud their talent and enthusiasm and congratulate them all. I really enjoyed interacting with each of them. I was very impressed with their creativity, the way they combine their technical knowledge and crafts, and their approach to environmental problems.”

The winner of the LVMH Prize will receive €300,000 and one year of mentoring from a dedicated LVMH team. The designer selected for the Karl Lagerfeld Award will be awarded 150,000 Euros and mentoring opportunities.
