First Meeting with Fendace

We can say that collaborations have become a routine for the fashion world. The combination of high fashion houses that want to expand their brand perception and audience and street brands with a different line creates exciting collections. The two brands, which take joint collections with a different point of view, reinterpret their perspective on collaborations.

The names in question are Versace and Fendi. Two Italian giants presented their Fendace designs by surprise at Milan Fashion Week. The collections, which were handled as brands’ interpretations of each other, featured the iconic combinations of Versace and Fendi’s graphics, logos and color codes. In the words of Fendi’s creative director, Kim Jones, Fendace is more of an exchange than just a collaboration; is a collection that underlines their friendships, celebrates the women who inspired them and celebrates the beauty of coming together after a long time away.

After the launch of the resounding fashion week, now it’s time for the real meeting. Names such as Adut Akech, Anja Rubik, Anok Yai, Imaan Hammam, Naomi Campbell and Kristen McMenamy appear in the campaign footage shot through the lens of Steven Meisel. The visuals and films perfectly reflect the friendship theme and energy of the collection. Donatella Versace’s emerging work “Who is a visionary designer and innovator. For me Fendace will always reflect love.”

The creative directors of the Fendace campaign are Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Karl Bolander; the director of the film belongs to Alex Maxwell. While the hair of the models comes from the hands of the iconic hair designer Guido Palau, the make-up is by the legendary name Pat McGrath. Fendace collections, whose footsteps we hear with the campaign images, are offered for sale on 12 May in selected stores and online.
