Mine Çakmak, who is happy to present her own dream designs with her own brand with the experience she has gained in the sector over the years, founded Minca by noticing the lack of brands with a design touch in the beachwear sector. Cakmak, who produces a small number of designs by acting with the logic of haute couture in his own workshop, shared the preparation process and details of the Minca 2022 Beach collection.

Can we briefly listen to the foundation story of your brand?

The beginning of the story goes back to my school years, even my childhood. From my oil paintings to my charcoal works since then; I was always after works that contained aesthetics. In those years, my teachers and family directed me to study design and art. I graduated from Marmara University Textile and Design Department. Then, respectively; I completed my training at Central Saint Martins College, Art Design, Bloke College Fashion Illustration and Kensington and Chelsea College Pattern Cutting. My starting point in swimwear design was Zeki Triko. Then I gave design consultancy to Ayyıldız brand. I had a passion for creating something new for as long as I could remember, and now it was time for Minca to be established.

Minca Swimwear emerged after many years of experience and knowledge. After my pleasant and enjoyable corporate working life, I decided to establish my own brand and create my dream designs in my own brand. Since I am a perfectionist, I am very meticulous in my work. I would like to know all the details of what I do. Every detail is important to me. Fortunately it was, when I look back now, I see that everything prepared me to establish my brand.

Can you share with us the prominent details, forms and colors of your 2022 beach collection?

Black and white geometric in Minca 2022 beach collection Rich alternatives were offered, from marine-themed designs to bohemian and ethnic designs and neon tones. In addition, the collection includes harmony of neon tones, tassels, elegant drapes, colorful linings and brightly colored kimonos that can be used with all swimsuits and bikinis. Complementing the beach fashion, kimonos are designed to match every detail with all the pieces in the collection.

What inspired you when creating this collection?

My biggest source of inspiration is nature. We can see the harmony of millions of colors and forms in nature.
